I did both my undergraduate and master’s degree at the University of Lisbon. I’ve graduated in Mathematics Applied to Economics and Management in 2017 and during my degree, I was particularly interested in mathematics modules, such as Statistics, Operational Research and Mathematical Analysis. This was the reason why I pursued a Master’s of Science in Statistics and Operational Research. Over the course, I developed a special interest in Bayesian Statistics and so I wrote my dissertation in copula modelling, comparing a frequentist and Bayesian approach. Between my Master’s and joining STOR-i, I worked for 9 months as a Researcher under a project of Spatial Statistics, which strengthened my motivation to continue my academic path with a PhD.

In my free times, I love to read, go to concerts and to travel. I also like to spend time with Tootsy, my cat, and go to the beach, when the weather lets me.
