GREAT

1. Absalon Sabogal

Absalon Sabogal’s “Sembrando Palabrasâ€ project integrates environmental education with literacy to foster sustainability and community empowerment. Central to the project is an organic garden where participants of all ages learn to grow poison-free food, recycle materials, and compost organic waste. Absalon collaborates with local schools, such as Magdalena Ortega and Minute de Dios, engaging students and teachers in hands-on activities that promote sustainable practices and collective learning.  By combining agriculture with reading and writing, the initiative seeks to cultivate an environmentally conscious, self-sustaining society that values organic practices, literacy, and community-driven development.
