Our Approach

Finding internships, work experience, and graduate opportunities can be challenging. LUCA was created to explore how artificial intelligence could provide students with personalised careers support, helping them improve applications, prepare for interviews, and navigate the job market with greater confidence.

Developed in partnership with Lancaster University's Careers and Employability Service, LUCA's Proof of Value phase has helped us understand how AI can complement existing careers support and enhance the student experience.

LUCA Update

LUCA is Lancaster University's AI-powered careers companion, designed to help students improve their CVs, tailor cover letters, explore employers, and practise interviews. Developed in partnership with the Careers and Employability Service, LUCA aims to provide accessible, personalised support throughout the job application journey.

The initial Proof of Value phase has now concluded. We would like to thank all students, staff, and colleagues who contributed their time, feedback, and ideas during the pilot. Your involvement has helped us better understand how AI can support employability and career development across the university.

The outcomes of the pilot are currently being evaluated, and future decisions regarding the service will be informed by the evidence and insights gathered throughout the project.
