Our sustainability team

Our commitment to sustainability relies upon a strong, collaborative network of staff for the achievement of our 2035 Net Zero carbon targets. Alongside our dedicated ذكذكتسئµ Team below, we work with a wide network of people from across the university to collate, implement and publicise our broader sustainability work that goes beyond carbon.

We're proud that we are now the largest producer of renewable energy of all UK Universities (according to HESA) and are now focused on meeting the challenges of the climate emergency.،±

Student interns and projects

Every year we have several paid student interns or student's working on academic projects, that work on various sustainability projects across the University. The current students are:

  • Kai Clish - Paid internship looking at Lancaster Univerity's scope 3 emissions
  • Emily Brown - Project looking at plant-based food on campus
  • Alex Penn - Master's project looking at biodiversity on campus
